On this day, you will leave Siem Reap and travel to Battambang. Enjoy a scenic ride in a private car or taxi, traversing the picturesque countryside and pausing for a couple of coffee breaks along the way. Just beyond Siem Reap, there's a charming village where Han, a dedicated student, operates a school that provides education in various subjects, including English and dance, to over 100 children every day. Your trip contributes to this noble cause, helping to keep these children in school. The drive will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, and you have the option to set off later in the morning. Upon arrival, you will check into a delightful resort in Battambang, complete with a stunning swimming pool and a serene palm garden.

Your adventure kicks off with an exhilarating journey on the distinctive bamboo train, a clever local creation that enables villagers to transport goods using a raft-like platform. As the train navigates a single track shared by vehicles heading in opposite directions, the drivers must collaborate to decide which train, based on its load, will pass through first. Embark on a captivating half-day journey through Battambang's architectural beauty and serene countryside on a bicycle. This adventure features a ride on a traditional wooden fishing boat along the river, providing a glimpse into the everyday lives and fishing customs of the locals. After cycling through the charming historic town, you will leisurely pedal into the scenic countryside. Take a moment to pause at an exhilarating wooden bridge before arriving at a Muslim fishing village. Here, you’ll hop onto traditional wooden boats to navigate the renowned Sangke River, where you can unwind and observe the locals as they engage in fishing activities.

Once the boat excursion concludes, we will head back to the city with stops at an old wooden house, a striking statue crafted from decommissioned firearms, and the enchanting White Elephant Temple. Don’t miss the chance to capture memorable photos in traditional Cambodian attire, perfect for unique keepsakes. After enjoying lunch, we’ll take a tuk-tuk ride through quaint villages and lush rice fields heading toward Phnom Sompov Mountain. Rather than climbing the 800 steps, we’ll opt for a motorbike ride to visit the historical temples, shrines, and the notorious killing caves from the Khmer Rouge era, all while soaking in breathtaking views of Battambang.

Our day will conclude with a leisurely stroll down the mountain, where you can marvel at the spectacular sight of the "bat army" as thousands of bats emerge from their caves at twilight.

Today, set off on a scenic drive south along Highway 5 towards Kampong Chhnang, where you'll be immersed in the picturesque sights of everyday life beyond the urban hustle. Approximately 90 kilometers from the capital, we'll make a stop in Kampong Chhnang, affectionately dubbed the 'port of pottery.' This province is not only abundant in fishing and agriculture but is renowned for its exquisite pottery craftsmanship. You'll have the opportunity to explore a local pottery workshop, where age-old techniques have been lovingly preserved through generations, highlighting the region's rich cultural heritage. After this captivating experience, we will proceed to the Farmhouse.

After about three hours of travel, you'll reach the picturesque town of Kampot, known for its colonial charm and centered around the historic French market, which has since been transformed into a lively hub of shops and restaurants.
